Community Work

In 1998, I started to work as a artist-educator in a popular-education based afterschool program in Oakland, CA. I apprenticed with a muralist and painted mural banners for local organizations and political causes.

Soon after, I started to put my art skill to use for non-profit organizations by providing illustration, graphic design and art direction services. I was fortunate to collaborate with many amazing people and organizations over the years.

I continue to partner with non-profit organizations by providing graphic design services for print and the web. More info about this practice can be found at design.christinewongyap.com.
